Gael studied law and politics at the University of Otago and quickly developed an interest in family law specifically. She began her legal practice at the Mangere Community Law Centre where she developed a broad skill set through teaching law in schools and providing legal advice on everything from neighbourhood disputes to employment issues. Gael then progressed to local law firms where she developed her expertise in family law. Gael now enjoys working within the sizeable and experienced team of family lawyers at Denham Bramwell.
Gael is committed to applying the law to find a lasting solution that works. Clients can be confident in Gael’s commitment to their case and in a robust and pragmatic assessment of the issues as well as the solutions. Gael is conscious of the financial and emotional cost of the Court process and she favours negotiating a resolution where possible.
In her spare time Gael enjoys getting outside. Her favoured sport is that of Ultimate Frisbee but she is equally happy hiking, running half-marathons through the bush and camping in remote locations.
