Rachel graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Law and Arts (majoring in Psychology). She knew early on that she wanted to practice in family law and gained first in class in the subject. Rachel’s passion to problem solve drives her to work diligently and creatively to achieve the best possible results for her clients.
A confident communicator and persuasive advocate, whilst at university, Rachel won the Brian Shenkins Memorial Family Law Moot.
Rachel takes a highly child-focused approach to her work, having spent much of her life working as a children’s mentor at numerous adventure camps. Rachel currently volunteers with the charity Pillars to mentor children with a parent in prison.
Rachel understands that navigating the legal process can be highly stressful. She prides herself in her approachable manner and ability to clearly and simply communicate legal concepts to help you gain back a sense of control amidst the difficulty of relationship breakdown.
Outside of work, Rachel loves exploring Aotearoa’s great outdoors and enjoys hiking, running and surfing.
